From hesitation to confidence: the English to XYZ story, approach, and people
Designed for business professionals first, IELTS candidates second — all focused on natural communication that earns respect and opens doors.
From a single idea to a global classroom
English to XYZ began with a simple goal: make learning English authentic and achievable. Early on we met professionals and students who knew the rules but not the rhythm. They could complete exercises yet still felt stuck in meetings and interviews.
We believed English education could do more. It should help people speak with confidence, connection, and personality. That belief grew into English to XYZ: a space for learners who want more than textbook English. It’s for the business leader who needs to inspire, the professional who needs to persuade, and the IELTS candidate who needs to prove it.
Our mission is simple: take you from the basics — A to B — all the way to XYZ, where your English becomes part of who you are.
Help adults use English naturally in business, academics, and daily life.
Build a global learning community rooted in clarity, confidence, and curiosity.
Simplicity · Empathy · Real-world results

Meet the Team

Richard Guilbeault
I am a Canadian educator based in the Philippines with more than a decade of experience teaching English across Asia: China, Japan, and South Korea among others.
I specialise in helping business professionals master the language of meetings, presentations, and negotiations. Lessons focus on the English that earns credibility at work: natural tone, confident delivery, and cultural awareness.
I also coach IELTS candidates to bring that same fluency into the exam room: clear, organised, and authentic responses that raise speaking scores.
My mission is to help every learner speak English that connects — not just correctly, but naturally.

TJ Pamandan
I am an Australian educator based in Asia, with over a decade of experience teaching English to students across China and Southeast Asia. I have designed English camps and academic programmes that spark curiosity and confidence.
My current focus lies in Cambridge English, IELTS preparation, and English for Academic Purposes. I work closely with high school students and young adults to strengthen academic foundations and achieve excellence.
My teaching emphasises practical fluency, critical thinking, and articulate communication — essential skills for success in both academic and real-world contexts.
Whether guiding learners through Cambridge examinations or refining academic writing and speaking, my mission is the same: empower every learner to communicate with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
